"Selene was diagnosed with Silver Poison at eighteen, a terminal illness. To avoid hindering her lover Cain's future as the Alpha Heir, she feigned infidelity at the urging of Cain's mother, driving Cain away to the North. Seven years later, Cain returned, accompanied by a new partner and on the verge of a bonding ceremony, while Selene was in a critical state. Upon their reunion, Cain, filled with resentment toward the 'traitor' Selene, treated her harshly. It was only when Selene was dying that Cain learned the truth about the betrayal from her neighbors. He then abandoned everything to stay by her side for her final moments. Selene passed away in Cain's arms, and Cain spent the rest of his life longing for and honoring her memory. "
