Grace, a military wife, has been caring for her paralyzed mother-in-law and young daughter alone. For two years, she believed her husband James only sent back $7.50 each month. Her daughter suffered from severe malnutrition, and her mother-in-law nearly lost her life after someone tampered with her medication. Forced into a corner, she even considered remarrying — until a phone call revealed the shocking truth: James actually sent home tens of thousands of dollars every month. All the money had been stolen and gambled away by her brother-in-law, Daniel. James rushes back home, and the secret comes to light. The couple navigates bitter misunderstandings, debt collection, and the threat of divorce. In the end, they make a fresh start on the military base. Grace launches her own baking business and finally takes full control of her life.
