"For seven years, Nora put her own plans on hold while helping Elliot become one of New York’s most sought-after lawyers. She thought their wedding would finally be the day he put her first. Then one desperate text from his young assistant sends him running—leaving Nora behind in her wedding dress. He tells her to wait. Instead, she cancels the wedding in front of two hundred guests. Elliot doesn’t know she was going to tell him they’re having a baby. He doesn’t know that this time, she won’t forgive him and come home. Leaving New York to reclaim the career she put aside, Nora starts building a life that no longer revolves around his needs. And the lawyer who always has an answer discovers that some losses cannot be argued away."
