Felix Merback's Dramas
Felix Merback comes by the craft honestly: his mother, Althea Crome, is the miniature-knitter who made the tiny star sweater and mittens Coraline wears in the movie. He grew up one of a set of triplets in Bloomington, Indiana, staging living-room productions for a single mom, and fell for theatre long before any camera found him. He drove himself out to Los Angeles and took an early leap into vertical drama, booking one production company's first-ever vertical just as the whole format was exploding. Two years on, he leads them faster than he can shoot them and has started producing them too, playing Mason in The Summer I Turned Bad and George Miles in After Divorce, Stripper CEO and I Dominate Hollywood, a title that has already told you everything. He claims to prefer the grounded roles, which in this format counts as its own plot twist. And he can, for the record, dunk a basketball.
