Nicole Mattox's Dramas

Nicole Mattox landed in vertical drama as a random day player, took one look around the set, and never left. A UT Austin grad who will remind you of it, a degree she cheerfully calls a whole personality trait, she once worked in a literal cavern before deciding that going full-time as an actor was the more sensible career. The job now involves getting a champagne bottle smashed over her head, being thrown into a freezing pool, and crying on cue while an assistant director blasts a leaf blower into her face for the wind effect. She has become one of the format's genuine leading ladies, from her assassin in The Hitwoman to her fan-favorite pairing with Seth Edeen in How to Kiss a Vampire and Found a Homeless Billionaire Husband for Christmas. The genre's fan awards duly crowned her its best actress, a Vertical Queen. A year ago she had no job security at all, which she brings up not as a complaint but as a small daily miracle.
